Osko by BPAYTM and PayID – a faster way to pay and be paid at Horizon Bank

Osko® and PayID is a new way to pay within your Horizon Bank Online Banking and Horizon app that’s as fast as cash – without the hassle of cash. Whether you’re paying a babysitter, splitting a bill or giving money to family for something urgent – the money will be there in minutes. You just use your Horizon Online Banking and app, 24/7.

PayID doesn't replace your account number and BSB, it is like a nickname for this information. It can be your phone number, email address or ABN/ACN. It’s unique to you and your eligible bank account. It's easier to receive payments by sharing your PayID instead of your BSB and account number.

To ensure your money is safe, we may hold OSKO payments for up to 24 hours if further authentication is required.

What’s not to love about Osko and PayID?

  • Faster payments across over 50 institutions – and more to come
  • Available all day, every day – even weekends
  • You can use a PayID to pay and get paid with something simple like a registered mobile, email or ABN. Or you can still use a BSB & account no.
  • It’s backed by BPAY® and us, so it’s very secure
  • You can use 280 characters of text to describe who’s getting paid and why

How do you set it up?

Go to Online Banking and click on My Preferences > Manage PayID Choose your mobile number or email address – whichever you want to be linked to your PayID.

Choose the account you wish to link your PayID to. Your PayID is not used to pay money from your account. It’s used as the destination for sending funds. Click on Get SMS so that a verification code is sent to your mobile phone. If you’re using your email address for your PayID, you will receive the verification code via email. Enter that verification code. Read and accept the terms and conditions. Choose Create.

You can also set your PayID up using the Horizon Bank mobile app. Go to Payments > PayID > Add New.

Our team can also assist you in setting up your PayID, simply pop in or give your local branch a call.
