You can use Horizon’s Online Banking service to reliably and conveniently send money overseas to more than 200 countries and territories, in over 130 different foreign currencies.
If you can’t make it into a branch, or need to send money overseas on the fly, you can easily make an International Telegraphic Transfer (TT) using Online Banking via your computer or laptop. The funds will be in the currency of the country to which you are sending.
Simply log on to Online Banking, go to the Payments tab and select International Transfer. The country specific information and ‘help text’ will guide you through your transfer from start to finish.
As an added security measure you must be registered for SMS One Time Password in Online Banking. This means that every transfer attempted on your account will require a code (that is sent to your mobile phone) to be entered before the transfer can commence. To register for SMS One Time Password log onto Online Banking and choose Setup Security Options.
A Telegraphic Transfer (also known as a “Wire”) is an online money transfer of funds directly credited to a beneficiary’s overseas bank account. A choice of more than 130 currencies is offered.
*Please note that TT’s are sent via a network of correspondent banks, which sometimes levy a small handling charge on your payment. Any such fees, and payment delays, are out of our control.
